MXN Commerce Korea Inc. announced on the 22nd that it will provide a 'ZOZO CONNECT' service to help brands enter Japan's Zozotown.
A company official explained the background of the service, saying, "Japan has a fashion market more than twice the size of Korea's. Although department stores and offline retail channels are influential, Japan's e-commerce market is expected to grow further in the future. Brands and distributors with a global business strategy need to consider both online and offline channels in Japan."
Among Japan's online channels, ZOZOTOWN is Japan's largest No. 1 fashion e-commerce platform with an annual transaction value of approximately 5 trillion won. It's a name that fashion brands considering entering Japan have heard of at least once. However, according to the company, it is not easy to enter and expand on the platform due to strict entry conditions, high fees, and revenue requirements to maintain a presence.
To minimize the burden of these conditions, MXN Commerce announced the launch of its 'ZOZO CONNECT' service, which allows brands and distributors to easily enter ZOZOTOWN.
ZOZO CONNECT is a service where MXN Commerce handles inventory management, shipping, product registration, sales, and operations for brands selling on the ZOZOTOWN platform. Popular brands in Korea, such as Black Up, Anyonemore, and Baydeli, will use ZOZO CONNECT.
Meanwhile, MXN Commerce Korea Inc. provides services necessary for entry into Japan and other overseas markets, working with MXN Japan Inc., which has strengths in fulfillment, operations, sourcing, IT tech capabilities, and local Japanese marketing, sales, operations, and distribution. Based on MXN Japan's expertise, the company offers optimized, step-by-step services for Korean brands entering the Japanese market. They also act as a proxy for the export, distribution, and marketing of competitive Korean fashion, accessories, life, and beauty brands in Japan, focusing on offline pop-up stores that can express a brand's identity and using OMO (Online Merges with Offline) marketing.
